They’re not exactly The Expendables, but the idea of gathering Jason Statham, Clive Owen, and Robert De Niro for special ops duty in Killer Elite gives rise to some basic expectations: and sure enough, there’s Statham as the cool, compact trained killer, and De Niro as the grizzled seen-it-all-veteran of some very off-the-record assassinations, and Owen as the smooth-talking (and curiously mustachioed) insider with a mess to clean up. These three fellows might indeed make for a badass team in so

Great action film,
Great action film in the mold of Die Hard, Transporter etc. If you like escapist action films this is one for you. Its not a deep story like LaCarre’s Tinker Taylor Solder Spy etc, just good fun. Fans of chick-flicks and Hugh Grant stay well clear.

|THIS FILM SUCKS,
I’m a big statham fan and usually him in a film is enough for me, but the direction script and casting left this film sucking big time, some of the lines and acting that comes from the other cast members, ( not statham, not de niro, not clive owen, not yyvonne strahovski) just sucks, the sheik, looks like a white guys with black face on and would only seem credible in a spoof, and it contrasts massively with the acting coming from statham and de nero. Also its not made clear who are the good guys and who are the bad guys until you eventually figure out that statham and deniro are the bad guys, but by then you are neither rooting for the good guys ( clive owen) or are you invested in the bad guys, you are left wondering why these guys do what they do, what is their actual background, and what are their motivations and the plot holes, there are tons, with tons of ham acting, i looked up the director and it is his first feature film and by the suckyness of this could be his last, dissappointing film, totally

|Passable thriller,
I hope this film doesn’t herald a downturn for Jason Statham as this is not his best work. Sure he’ll never win an oscar but he is an entertaining action hero. Based on an allegedly true story this film is based in the eighties and a lot of effort has been put into making it look authentic so why did they blow it all with massive non UK registration number plates on the cars? I know the US audience won’t even notice so obviously we don’t matter in the UK. This film will never set the world alight but its an entertaining enough hour and a half.
